In this #SuperScience, we explore an innovative approach: using machine learning on a knowledge graph to detect fraud in Ethereum.
As part of a 2022/23 Pawsey internship, Helen Miller—supervised by Dr Md Redowan Mahmud & Dr Sajib Mistry (Curtin University’s EECMS and HPIS Lab) in collaboration with A/Prof Aneesh Krishna & Dr Mahbuba Afrin—developed a cutting-edge system that analyses relationships between addresses, transactions, and smart contracts to identify fraud.
Here is how it works: 🔍 Knowledge Graph – Models relationships between blockchain entities. 🤖 Machine Learning – Uses collaborative filtering to detect potential fraud victims. 🚨 Early Detection – Helps prevent fraudulent activity before it happens.
By leveraging Pawsey’s supercomputing power, machine learning, and graph technology, this research paves the way for safer cryptocurrency transactions.
